To enter Engineer mode you just need to dial the *#3646633# number

Be VERY Carefull playing with the engineer options because you could end up with a dead phone!!

If you know the use of an option please post it so we can share our knowledge.

I am so upset with myself.  I was checking out the engineer mode.  Clicking on everything to see what it did.  I clicked about half way down and the phone said it would shut off in 3 seconds.  Which it did and has never come back on.  I can't send it back to the seller because he only garuanteed it for 1 month.  I have had it almost 2 months now.  The more I used this phone the more I loved it.  I am just sick and very angery at myself for doing this.  Is there anyway I can get my phone back on?  I appreciate any suggestions.  Thank-you so much! Judee     Cry

Anyone who reads this. PLEASE don't mess with the engineer mode unless you know what you are doing.  You will end up crying like me...

It happened for me too.

I tried to remove the small batery that is under the P168 Label.

With this I tried to reset the BIOS, but...... NO SUCESS.

I think that maybe there's a diode holding the current, even without the batery, but I don't know exactly yet.

Let's try to do something about it!!!

Tks!!

Just make sure you don't hit the "High speed sim" tab. i have the p168c and had this happen to my phone and had to send it back. They sent me a new one but now the engineering mode doesn't even have that option in it. I remember reading somewhere that you have to flash it to get it to work. The person who posted it said it took him awhile though. If i come upon it, i will post.

If you have not had any success in restarting your phone even after removing the small battery under the label try
Taking a wire and shorting out the contacts of the batter holder. Place one end of the wire to the positive
And other end to the negative side of the battery holder. This will drain any current held in the phone
In a second or so. Diodes restrict the direction of current flow and do not store a charge.
